Eliza Marley

Eliza Marley is a fiction writer, filmmaker, and Chicago PHD student.

Her fiction has been featured in Red Ogre Review, Chaotic Merge, and Stoneboat among others. Eliza’s fiction is influenced by surrealism and magical realism. She is interested in the mysteries that hide within the mundane and the American Midwest.

Her critical work engages with folklore, climate studies, and ghost stories. She is interested in stories that form place and vise versa.

Eliza can often be found haunting the Chicago River in a kayak, climbing something, playing the harp, or hanging out with her cats.
